We live in rapidly changing times, when newspapers seem like a thing of the past and journalists are too often cast as the enemy instead of respected as a voice of clarity, truth and thoughtfulness.
We at Westside Seattle stand steadfast in our belief in the value of old-fashioned, non-biased, well-researched written words.
We’re making a case for community news. We believe that we need to highlight the heroes living in our own neighborhoods, celebrate the arts groups performing in our backyards, place local politics under a microscope and bring small businesses into the spotlight.
We plan on continuing to do so -- but we need your help.
All small newspapers are struggling in this digital age, and we’re no exception. When you look at the cost of $56 per year, (less for seniors at $38) we hope you will think of your subscription as a contribution to keep our papers printing, our writers writing and our photographers clicking away. It would even make an excellent gift for a relative or friend who enjoys reading local news and likes print.
Think of your support as an act of solidarity – for your neighborhood, for the ideals of journalism and for the freedom of the press.
You will find our subscription form here.
Thanks to everyone who is a loyal reader, to those who advertise with us, those who were carriers in the past, and to the community at large for the many decades of interest and support.
