Joy M. Farrell (Jakey) died from complications due to Alzheimer’s and dementia on August 24, 2020, age 89, while residing at the Beehive Retirement and Assisted Living Community in McCleary, WA. She was born June 7, 1931 in Lewiston, ID. Joy spent her younger years in Asotin and Yakima, WA before moving to the Normandy Park, WA area. She graduated from Highline High School in 1949 where her father also taught. In the 1990’s she moved to Montesano, WA from Morton, WA to be near her daughters and grandchildren.
Ida “Jean” Moury passed away peacefully in West Seattle, WA on August 10, 2020. She was born on October 21, 1934 to Arthur and Edith Chittock in Niles, OH and married Darold James “Jim” Moury of Marion, OH on January 26, 1957. They relocated to the West Seattle area with their 4 young sons in the mid 1960’s. Eventually, she enjoyed careers in Real Estate and Bookkeeping until they retired to Gig Harbor and later to Sun City West, AZ where Jim passed away in 2002.
Son of Connie Akagi Lundy and Claude Lundy. Oldest brother of Joe Brigham and John Lundy. Grandson of Joe and Eunice Akagi. Tim was born in Juneau, Alaska. Proud to be Native American, he often used his Tlingit name: Anauke.
Dominic Madura passed away in Seattle, on July 19, 2020, at the age of 27. Dominic was born in Seattle, on July 23, 1992, to John and Jana Madura, joining his older sister Chelsea, at their home in West Seattle.
Dominic attended Holy Rosary Grade School in West Seattle, and graduated in 2011, from Kennedy Catholic High School, in Burien.
Joyce Jeanette Wiseman was born in Madison, South Dakota on July 28, 1930, to parents Orville and Mary Johnson. Joyce passed away peacefully on August 5, 2020 at Aegis Living in West Seattle.
Joyce graduated from Madison High School, where she met her sweetheart and future husband Austin (Cal) Wiseman. Cal and Joyce married May 23, 1950 in Madison, South Dakota.
Marilynn Joyce Masion, 86, of Seattle passed away on August 2, 2020. She lived for over 40 years in her family's homestead on Mirror Lake in Federal Way. Marilynn was a proud graduate of West Seattle High School Class of 1951, Rah! Rah!
Marilynn was married to Paul Masion for 22 years. She was a Senior Development Coordinator for Soos Creek Water and Sewer and retired after 28 years in December 1999.
Ruth E. DeWitt, 88, a former West Virginian, passed away on August 7, 2020. She moved to Burien in 1976. She is survived by 4 children, Pamela L. Hagedorn of Kansas City, Mo, Stanley M. Davis of Morgantown, WV, Kevin T. Davis and David R. Davis of Seattle, WA. Other survivors include 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, several nieces and nephews and her husband Earl T. DeWitt and his two children.
Born January 26, 1933, in Michigan to David Hazlett and Dorothy (Ritchie) Hazlett. Passed peacefully July 20, 2020. Raised in Omak and graduated with the Omak High School Class of 1951. Attended Western Washington University where she met Richard McGlothern and wed in 1953.
Preceded in death by her parents David and Dorothy Hazlett, and her brother David Hazlett.
Yvonne Miller Long, Seattle, WA passed away peacefully in her sleep July 19, 2020 at the age of 84. Words cannot express what she meant to her family and all who knew her.
Born December 13, 1935 to Harry and Geraldine Theresa (Huehn) Willson in Albany, CA. Her Dad, whom she longed to see again, passed away April 1946 when she was 11 years old. Her Mom, Gerry, married Robert William (Bob) Gribben in 1948.
