Robert R. (Bob) Wray, Sr. Sept. 8, 1928 – Aug. 21, 2017

Bob passed away on Monday evening, August 21st surrounded by his family at the age of 88. 

He was born on September 8, 1928 to Dorothy and Raymond Wray and grew up in the Seattle/Georgetown area attending local schools.  He served his country in both the Army and the Merchant Marines and from there became a jeweler by trade and loved this business until the end of his life. 

Bob was a past member of the Des Moines City Council, Burien Water & Fire Commissions, the Elk’s, the Eagle’s and the VFW as well as other groups and organizations.  Bob was a longtime member of Southcenter Rotary and a Paul Harris Fellow. 

Bob is survived by his daughters Liane Kerr of Bellingham, Jo-Ann Andrew (Mark) of Normandy Park, Tina Riggle (Ed) of Burien; his sons Robert Jr. (Guadalupe) of Des Moines and Michael (Jennifer) of Auburn; and by seventeen grandsons and granddaughters who all loved Grandpa Bob.  Bob is also survived by his sister, Sharon McCandliss of Burien, Washington.   Memorial contributions requested to the Seattle Salvation Army in the name of Bob Wray, Sr.
