Lois A. Sundberg

Lois A. Sundberg (Steinhoff-Trulin) passed at age 86, on Friday, May 25, 2018 in Renton, WA.  She was born at Virginia Mason Hospital, Seattle, WA on December 3, 1931, to proud parents: Doris G. and Clarence G. Steinhoff and was their only child.

 

Lois grew up in West Seattle, and graduated from West Seattle High School in 1950. 

The highlights of her working career were years spent at Fisher’s Flouring Mills, and Sears-Roebuck Co.  

 

She is preceded in death by her loving, second husband: Donald (Don) Sundberg.  Lois and Don celebrated 45 joyous years of marriage, a month before Don’s death in January, 2016.  They were forever the happy couple and she had missed him terribly these last few years.

 

Lois is survived by her two daughters: Pam Martens-Cox (Steve Cox) of Snohomish, WA and Kim Edson (Randy) of Renton; grandsons: Daniel Edson and David Edson of Renton, her step-children: Janet Thrower (Ryan) of Kent, Paula Dahl (Pat) of Spokane, Leslie Heineman (Ray) of Anacortes, and Neil Sundberg of Lake Stevens, and her step children’s descendants as well.

 

Funeral Service: Tues., June 19, 2018, at 12:30 pm at: “Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel,” in Kent, WA. 

Graveside Service (directly following): at 2:15 pm, at “Tahoma National Cemetery,” in Kent.

 

Donations in her memory can be sent to: “The Dementia Society of America” or “The Alzheimer’s Research Foundation,” supporting research for a cure.
