As many as 250 guests gathered Sunday evening for a performance of the play,"Good Morning Bill" offered free by the Burien Actor's Theatre.
Held at Townsquare park and sponsored by Burien and neighbor cities Des Moines, Covington, Normandy Park, SeaTac and Federal Way, the entire show was held on a warm, summer evening adjacent to the Burien Library. From an attendee reaction, the show appeared to be a rousing success.
The premise: While on vacation in Seattle, Bill falls for the aloof Dr. Sally Smith. After Bill returns to Mount Vernon, he longs for Sally. Comedic complications arise when Bill’s uncle misunderstands, hatching a plan to bring his nephew together with the wrong woman. Rachel Rene’s adaptation moves the comedy from 1920s England to 1989 Seattle and Mount Vernon. Family-friendly comedy. The cast includes:
