What's in it for Burien?

As a Boulevard Park resident and community activist, I am at a loss as to why Burien continues to try to find some reason to annex part of North Highline.

First of all, Seattle Mayor Nickels has made it clear that he is willing to annex the entire area. And all of the information Burien has distributed, focuses on the benefits to Burien, yet nothing is ever said about what Burien will do for us, in North Highline.

What for example, will Burien do for Boulevard Park? How will annexation to Burien improve the quality of our neighborhoods?

To anyone who feeds coyotes

Recently several coyotes have moved into Schmitz Park. They have been seen by numerous people. There have also been stories going around that people are feeding these animals.

Please understand that coyotes eat house cats! Have you seen the signs for the lost cats?

Schmitz Park does not offer a lot of food for these animals. When you feed them, you encourage them to hang around in our neighborhood. You tell them that this is a good hunting area.
