Graham Trucking, Inc., a local trucking business that operates the largest fleet of super chassis in Washington state, has announced the relocation of its headquarters to the city of SeaTac.

The new four-acre facility, located at 18811 16th Ave South, will accommodate the company’s Seattle staff and enable further expansion for growth.

“From what we can tell the City of SeaTac is the best, most well-run city we’ve ever seen,” said Robert Graham, president of Graham Trucking, Inc. “There is no comparison between SeaTac and other municipalities we’ve worked with. We look forward to moving our business into such a thriving, economically strong community.”

Currently located in Seattle, Tacoma and Federal Way, Graham Trucking serves clients in the Pacific Northwest primarily through intermodal transport, with a variety of modes of transportation to move product across cities and states.

For nearly 30 years the company has performed the majority of their business with large retail chains, construction companies, manufacturers, produce growers in Eastern Washington and seafood companies.

With the move, Graham Trucking will be starting with 35 employees at SeaTac doing everything from offloading fishing boats and produce into their shipping containers to operating fleets of refrigerated trailers and flatbed trucks. His goal for the site is to grow to 75 employees.

“We are thrilled about Graham Trucking’s decision to relocate to SeaTac,” said Jeff Robinson, economic development manager for the City. “With this move, the company will be positioned to take advantage of the many synergies that are available by doing business in SeaTac, as well as the obvious convenience of our central location to our region’s highways and port facilities.

The fact that the former car rental site has been obtained so fast after their move to the Port’s new rental car facility is a great indication of property value, which remains consistent through various uses.”

Though no official date has been set yet, Graham Trucking plans to relocate to SeaTac by mid-November. During the transitional phase the company will keep employees in their current areas of operation as they determine growth.
