Warriors work way to state soccer

ORTING - Two second half goals propelled the Seattle Christian girls soccer team to a 2-0 winner fifth-to-state and loser out win against Nisqually League foe Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) in a Nov. 7th match of the 1A Tri-District 1/2/3 tournament held at the Orting Middle School field.
In their third win in as many tries against Cedar Park Christian, the Warriors exercised steadily stronger pressure as the the game took its course.
Megan Nielsen assisted to Abigail Kim in the 55th minute for a 1-0 SC lead. Two minutes latter Morgan Gaston fired home another score off a nice assist from Tanna Brinkman.
Offensively, Seattle Christian created numerous chances and the defense stood tall in goalkeeper Erin Swain's shut out.
Players for state-qualifying Warriors are Danielle Mumm, Payton Hibbard, Abigail Kim, Megan Nielsen, Maegan Fox, Cassisy Stobart, Morgan Gaston, Tanna Brinkman, Taelor Perkins, Shaina Mitchell, Julia Eng, Isabella Responte, Ally Zimmer, Erin Swain and Karissa Kleps.
Head coach is Melissa Dunckley assisted by her husband Zack Dunckley. Gloria Hunter is the superintendent. Matt Althoff is the prinicipal and Craig Wrolstad serves as athletic director.
