Robbed on the side of the road

Around 1:45 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 18, a woman was walking near the 12000 block of 20 Ave S, when a man grabbed her by the wrist and stole her cellphone and purse. 

Construction site theft

Officers responded to a call about a theft at a construction site in the 100 block of SW 146 St around 6:20 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 18. A GPS system, two air hoses and a water meter were stolen from a parked car. 

Shoplifter at Goodwill

A man was caught stealing at Goodwill, 1031 SW 128 St, around 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17. He was in the men’s clothing section filling a backpack with clothing and electronics. 

Smash and grab at restaurant 

A suspect smashed open a window in the door at Mecca Mediterranean, 16324 International Blvd, and opened the cash register. The crime was reported around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17. 

Dine and dash at Denny’s

Officers received a call about a dine and dash at Denny’s, 17206 International Blvd, around 1:10 pm. on Sunday, Dec. 17. Suspects ordered almost $50 of food and then walked out without paying. 

Shoplifter at Walgreens

A night manager at Walgreens, 14656 Ambaum Blvd S, called police around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17 to report that a shoplifter had stolen multiple space heaters, fled on foot and then jumped into a vehicle to make a getaway.

Residential burglary on 18 Ave SW

A thief climbed into a shed located in the 10000 block of 18 Ave SW to steal tools. The suspect used a neighbor’s ladder to gain entrance to the building. The crime was reported around 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16. 

Tenant takes a piece of the building before leaving

A former tenant in a building located in the 2000 block of SW 152 St moved out of a leased space – and stole the mirrors from the dance studio walls on the way out. The crime was reported around 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 15.
