Unlawful possession of a firearm
A man residing in the 17700 block of Ambaum Blvd. S accidentally shot himself in the ankle with his brother’s pistol. The incident was reported at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 31.
Stealing beer from the supermarket
A suspect stole three bottles of beer from the Thriftway, 12000 Des Moines Memorial, around 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 31.
Purse stolen from unlocked car
A woman called police around 5:40 a.m. on Friday, June 1 to report that her purse was taken from her unlocked car. The vehicle was left in a parking lot in the 1200 block of SW 124th St.
Residential burglary on 1 Ave S
Several items were stolen from a home in the 13000 block of 1 Ave SW. Residents reported the burglary around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 1. The suspect entered through the back window.
Tools taken on SW 119th St.
An unknown suspect entered an open garage in the first block of SW 19th St. and made off with a number of tools. The crime was reported around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 1.
Stolen car discovered
A woman called police to report a suspicious vehicle parked for the past three days in her neighborhood around 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 31. Officers checked the license plate and confirmed that the car had been stolen. The car was left on the side of the road in the 11200 block of 21st Ave SW.
Theft at boatyard
A suspect cut into the fence of a boatyard in the 8500 block of Dallas Ave S and stole items from the boats. The crime was reported at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 1.
Stealing from storage unit
A suspect cut a padlock to gain access to a storage unit at a condominium in the 100 block of SW 116th St. The suspect took tools from the storage unit. A vehicle theft was reported during the same time frame in the parking lot of the building.
