In the 8800 block of 13th SW, a homeowner answered his front door and found a man with a knife who said, "Back up and I won't hurt you." The suspect came into the home and began rummaging through drawers and a jewelry box. He made a cell phone call during the incident, telling the person on the other end (among other things) that, "It's not where you said it was." After taking the couple's wallets, he left-according to a witness-in a white pickup truck. The suspect is a white male, 6 ft tall, with dark hair and a full, graying beard. Six months ago, the couple allowed a man who knocked on their door to do some repair work for them. After he left, they were missing an envelope with $4,000 and their credit cards. That man, a large black male, also drove a white pickup truck.
Around 1 p.m. Saturday, a man smiled and waved at some youngsters near the pond in the 3000 block of Juneau, then exposed and fondled himself. The frightened children ran to tell two adults who were walking nearby. The victims report that the man ran off toward the playground on Graham St. The suspect isa Hispanic male in his 40s, of medium build, with face stubble.
Six black males tried to intimidate and pull a wallet from a passenger on a West Seattle-bound bus early Saturday evening. When the would-be victim fought them off, they attacked another man, punching him in the face. Though the suspects fled when the bus stopped, three were later caught and identified.
On Wednesday, a man with known mental issues was booked intoKing County Jail after he exposed himself to a student near Roxhill Elementary.
For eight years, a neighbor of the steel mill has made profanity-laden phone calls to the business, complaining about the noise it creates. Last week she went a step further, calling to threaten that she'd bring her guns to the plant, "take care" of the 300 employees, and solve the noise problem herself. She's been warned that she is now a suspect in a threat report. The officer's report wryly notes that, "...the mill has been in operation in this location for 102 years, well prior to the time the complainant moved into the area."
