After reading your article about the CLEARED COUNCIL PEOPLE, I have to ask if you actually read the other 500-plus pages of the report which were not presented to the Burien City Council. Actually they got a copy but everything has been based on the smaller summary report.
The Seabold Group expressly stated they were not finding anyone guilty or not guilty, and that they were under the opinion the report would be processed by a third party reviewing the legal aspects of what everyone did.
This did not happen. Shame on the city council. A simple mailing of the documents to Norm Maleng's office with a request to review the paperwork and advise if there was any wrong doing or not would have put this mess to bed.
There are more unanswered questions now than before, and the city council has swept this under the rug. Why spend thousands of dollars for a report and not take it anywhere? I think the taxpayers should ask the council for their money back.
Why did the water district hook up to a home outside their boundary? After the owner was turned down by his water district after he tried to get the expense lowered.
And there are many more questions.
The City Council needs to make this right and turn the report over to King County or to the State Attorney General's Office and request a review. That would put this to rest once and for all.
