First Avenue South (SR509) - S. 192nd Street to S. 200th Street Design

The City of Normandy Park solicits Statements of Qualifications from consulting firms with expertise in Civil and Structural Design for the project described below.

Proposals due 5 PM January 3, 2007. No proposals will be accepted after that time.

Submittal requirements:Limit Proposals to 20 8 1/2 X 11 pages (not including the cover, cover letter and dividers), 11 point font. Submit 8 copies of proposal.

Project Description:The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing preliminary engineering and final plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) for improvement of First Avenue South from S. 192nd Street to S. 200th Street. The proposed improvements include widening First Avenue South to accommodate two lanes of traffic and a center/median/two-way left turn lane, bike lanes, landscape strips, sidewalks, improving intersection radii, storm drainage, street lighting, revisions to existing signal systems in order to accommodate the proposed improvements, landscaping where applicable, and construction of retaining walls to provide for roadway widening. The City has received Federal STP/U, CMAQ and developer mitigation funds in support of these improvements. All work to be completed in accordance with WSDOT Standards and the Local Agency Guidelines.
