SeaTac man wounded
in drive-by shooting
January 13-A 20-year-old SeaTac man was shot and seriously wounded in a drive-by shooting just before 3 a.m. in the 16700 block of Ambaum Blvd. S.
According to the King County Sheriff's Office, there was a party and disturbance at the house earlier that evening, although police were not called. Detectives believe the shooting may be related to the disturbance.
The victim was in the driveway when hit by at least one shot. Detectives believe six to 10 shots were fired.
Numerous party-goers were detained by Burien Police and sheriff's deputies as they investigated the shooting.
As of Friday, no arrests hade been made. The victim was in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center.

Woman dies from injuries
in morning accident on I-5
January 18-An accident involving an unoccupied school bus during the morning commute on northbound Interstate 5 at S. 200th Street left one driver dead and snarled traffic for hours.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision occurred at 6:49 a.m. when a 2000 Acura TL was northbound in lane 3 of 5 and was attempting to slow for slowing traffic.
The Acura was unable to slow for a Jeep Liberty directly in front of it and rear-ended the vehicle. The driver of the Jeep Liberty lost control to the left and swerved into the car-pool lane where it was struck in the driver's door by a school bus.
After the Acura stopped in lane 3, it was struck by a blue vehicle that did not stop and left the scene.
The driver of the Jeep Liberty, Megan R Simon, 22, from Fife, suffered critical injures. She was transported to Harborview Hospital and later died as a result of her injures.
The Laidlaw school bus was driven by David P Kilgus, 56, from Tacoma. It was en route to pick up students from the Kirkland campus of the Northwest School of Innovative Learning and was not occupied by students at the time of the collision.
The driver of the Acura, John M Penney, 57, from Tumwater, was not injured in the collision.
An investigation into the accident was continuing, and troopers were looking for the blue vehicle that fled the scene.
