Late Friday, in the 4800 block of Delridge, a woman grabbedher son and jumped out a window after a masked man entered her home andstruggled with her. She ran onto the street, flagging down passing motoristsfor assistance. The suspect remains at large. He is a white male, aged 22-29,and wore a dark blue Russell-brand sweater and a dark ski mask. And lateSaturday, a woman living in the 4500 block of 49th SW reports that awhite male walked into her house through an unlocked back door, sat on the sofafor a moment, and ran out of the house when he was spotted.

Last Monday, following the report of a rape at gunpoint, acouple of officers and a K9 companion tracked the suspect and held him atgunpoint in the 2100 block of SW Holden. Heprovided several false names and carried a fake California ID. He was booked intoKing County Jail for investigation of obstruction and on an outstanding felonyfirearms warrant and for failing to appear on a previous domestic violencecharge.

Around 8 p.m. Friday night, a South Park,a merchant was held-up at gunpoint and punched several times.

By calling 911, citizens interrupted two separate car prowlsprees last week, one in the South Seattle Community College Parking lot andthe other on California Avenuein the Junction.

Someone broke into an Alki-area condo on Monday and stoleall of the furniture from the lobby. Estimated loss: $3,000.

A 25-year-old West Seattleman faces DUI charges after he passed out behind the wheel of his car on theFauntleroy ferry on Sunday. His 18-year-old female passenger was intoxicated aswell. A friend came to pick up the young woman, and officers provided thesuspect with a courtesy ride home.

Claiming that her mom was being assaulted by a boyfriend, a17-year-old girl shoved him to the ground and later chased him around with akitchen knife. The adults denied that an assault had occurred (mom showed nosigns of abuse and she was calm toward the boyfriend), but both state that thedaughter has a drinking problem and would like assistance in getting her intotreatment.

A 15-year-old raised a steak knife and stepped toward hisfather aggressively, but dad was able to interrupt the assault. Son eventuallyput down the knife and was later arrested at a Tukwila motel and booked intothe Youth Service Center.
