Age 91, passed away March 31, 2006. Mae was born in Glendive, Montana on February 4, 1915. She moved to Seattle where she met her husband Harry and later settled in Ballard where they raised their four children, Andrea, Mary, Bill and Harold. Her children have always been grateful that she was the kind of grandmother who was always ready to play with her grandchildren at a moments notice. Card playing was a favorite and few grandchildren where able to keep up with her. Mae always though of others before herself. Never one to let life get her down, in later years she traveled and enjoyed the company of her friends and family. She was a fifty-plus years member of Eastern Star. Mae was preceded in death by her husband Harry and her grandson John Hawkinson. She is survived by her four children Andrea Newby (Bill), Marry Hawkinson (John), Bill Rasmussen (Nancy), and Harold Rasmussen (Linda); twelve wonderful grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren. Viewing and funeral service will be at Wiggen and Sons. The service was Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.
