Died one day after her 82nd birthday on July 19, 2005. Born in Battleview, North Dakota, she graduated from the Seattle University School of Nursing and was a longtime resident of the West Seattle area. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Jack J. Sparks, in 1997, and her son, Michael, in 2000. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Diana Sparks, of Sammamish, Wash., and three grandchildren, Melissa Arias and Tony and Keenan Sparks.
