Margaret Virginia Glover

Margaret Virginia Glover of Redmond, Oregon, died Feb. 1, 2006, at a local care facility. She was 91. A memorial service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery,

Saturday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m.

She was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, on May 11, 1914, to Howard and Cora (Millspaugh) Wilson.

Mrs. Glover spent her early childhood in Kansas before the family moved to West Seattle when she was a teenager. She was graduated from West Seattle High School, the same school her two children graduated from years later.

She lived in West Seattle until 1986 when she moved to Federal Way, then in 2002 moved to Redmond, Oregon, to be closer to her daughter.

She married Herbert Glover in Seattle on December 3, 1938. They had two children.

Mrs. Glover worked as a secretary-bookkeeper for many years, including more than 25 years at John Perrine Company, a wholesaler of nuts and bolts in Seattle. After retiring in 1979, Marge and Herb enjoyed traveling in their motor home, visiting most of the western states. She also enjoyed playing cards, knitting and other crafts.

She was affiliated with the Order of Eastern Star and the Seattle Milk Fund.

Mrs. Glover is survived by her daughter, Ginger Vertrees, of Redmond, Oregon, her son, Bob Glover of Mukilteo, Washington, four granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984.
