Seven Beavers scored against winless Graham-Kapowsin April 29, as the Ballard High School lacrosse team put up 17 points and earned its biggest margin of victory of the season.
Ballard had an impressive 33 shots on goal to Graham-Kapowsin's 17 in the 17-10 win.
Junior Maddie Soukup led all scorers with five goals, and juniors Jayne Barnes and Haley Jackson finished three apiece. Kelsey Barta, Cecilia Raible, Jessica Bryan and India Posner added goals as well.
Junior goalie Hannah Breton tallied 10 saves.
The win gives the Beavers a 4-4 record and moves them into a tie for 10th place. The top nine teams make the playoffs.
The three matches remaining in the season are all winnable for the second-year Ballard team. Auburn Mountainview is in 14th place, Lake Sammamish is in 15th and Holy Names is in 16th.
The Beavers face Lake Sammimish first at 5:30 p.m. on April 30 at Ballard High School.
