NICODEMUS-GROOM

Virginia Ann Nicodemus-Groom, age 72, was born July 12, 1933, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, to James and Cora Nicodemus. She passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2005.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth D. Groom; her two sons, David J. (Chikako) and James L. Groom; a daughter, Lydia R. Nor; two grandsons, Zakarya M. K. and Abdelaziz S.K. Nor; and her cousins including the Blackwells, Sanders and Mayes.

A visitation was held July 19, 2005, at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, SeaTac. A funeral service will be Wednesday, July 20, at 9 a.m. at Des Moines United Methodist Church, 22225 Ninth Ave. S, Des Moines.
