Henry 'Jerry'

August PETERSEN

Henry was born Aug. 1, 1911, in Seattle, and passed away Aug. 8, 2005, at the age of 94. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Merchant Marine. Because of his involvement with the Burien Elks Club, he received awards for outstanding lodge participation and contributions to the Elks Therapy Program for Children.

He resided in Burien with his family for 63 years while he owned and operated the family pharmacy, Mayrand Prescription Drugs in Seattle. His hobbies included fishing, gardening, coin collecting, music, playing cards, and getting together with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Anita M. Petersen (June 1997). He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Mark Thompson, and grandchildren Brian Barr, Chris Thompson and Terry Thompson.

Also surviving him are nephews John Peters (Julie), Bill Peters (Brenda), Doug Peters (Claudia), and niece Whitney Cochran.

We will always remember his ever present smile and humorous outlook on life. He was everyone's friend.
