Christina Marie Glover

Christina was born on Feb. 1, 1957, to Joseph McDonald and Adeline [White]. She was the sixth of seven, and the youngest girl. The siblings, all still living, are David, Pat, Steve, Diane [Klaaskate], Janet [McConnell], and Paul. She graduated from Fife High School in 1975. Tina served in the United States Army for a number of years, and was discharged in 1990. While in the service, she married Lewis Glover and they had one daughter, Briana Marie Glover. Tina worked at Highline Community Hospital for 15 years as an X-Ray and Mammography Technician. She then worked at Swedish Medical Center for about one year before being diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2003.

Tina was an amazing sister, and most of all, a strong example of a mother, not only to her own daughter, but to her daughter’s best friends as well. Tina fought as long and hard as she could, and was taken too soon.

She is survived by her siblings, one 19-year-old daughter, and her friends. She had a force on this earth that will live on forever.

A rosary was said in her memory on Feb. 24, and the funeral Mass was celebrated on Feb. 25 at St. Philomena’s Parish in Des Moines. Internment took place afterward at Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery in Federal Way. In memory of Tina, please make donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation, participate in Race for the Cure, or donate and participate in your favorite charities and organizations.
