Richard Swickard Sr. passed in his home in the loving arms of his family March 20, 2006. He was a retired journeyman mailer and member of the Typographical Union.

A native of Indianapolis, Ind., he moved to Burien in 1992 and bought Kid Kare Day Kare, which will continue on. Richard was born April 1, 1934.

He is survived by his loving wife, Andrea; brothers Bud and Carl Jr.; daughters Vicki, Diane, Jackie, Judy and Tina; sons Larry, Richard Jr. and Tim; grandchildren Sarah, Jamie, Staci, Natalie, Alyssa, Hannah, Steven and Jennifer; and great-granddaughter Samora.

A memorial to celebrate his life will be held on his birthday, Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Church at the Side of the Road, South 148th Street and Pacific Highway South, Tukwila.
