Jack G. Hewes, 77, was born June 29, 1928, in Grand Rapids, Minn., and died May 29, 2006, in Burien.

Jack served as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War and retired as a lineman for Seattle City Light. He was member of the Music Box Society.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes, in 1997.

He is the beloved father of Nancy Hewes of Tacoma, Peggy Hewes of Kent, and Gordon (Kim) Hewes of Burien; grandfather of Sarah and Jacob Hewes; and brother of JoAnn Haynes of Sequim, Joyce Johnson of Kent and Jerry Hewes of Burien.
