Earl Mark Bingham

Earl Mark Bingham, age 87, died peacefully at Mother Joseph Care Center on June 14, 2006 in Olympia, Wash.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Viola (Adams); three children: Lloyd Bingham of Olympia, Kathy (Tom) Kinman of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Marilyn (Andy) Smith of Sequim, Wash.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his eldest brother Herman Bingham. He is also survived by sisters Myrna Farley, Melba Christensen and Marie Thomson, and brother Lyell Bingham.

In 1941 Earl graduated from Brigham Young University. On Dec. 24, 194,2 Earl married Vi Adams whom he had met while working in Yellowstone Park during the summers. In 1958 Earl accepted an engineer job (computer programmer) for Boeing. He retired after 25 years. Earl enjoyed many hours gardening at his son's place in Olympia.

He was been an avid sports fan of the Seahawks, Mariners, and Sonics. Earl was a handyman who could build and repair just about anything. He and his son built a two-story garage and remodeled his son's house. Throughout his life, Earl donated many hours of service to his Church, helping others, and the Boy Scouts of America.
