Myland Louis Streck . April 21, 1026--February 4, 2015 . Betty Jean Streck March 15, 1926--January 28, 2018

Betty was born March 15, 1926 to Claude Shirley and Anna C. Spohn of Toledo, Oregon.

Betty passed away peacefully January 28, 2018 in Poulsbo Washington.  She grew up in Toledo and Klamath Falls, Oregon with her three older brothers, Al, Ray, Jack and her older sister that we knew as Sis. All of which preceded Betty in death.

Betty moved to Seattle in 1940 where she attended Franklin High School and graduated in 1944.  Somewhere along the way she met Myland Streck and they were married December 31, 1946 is Seattle.  Myland attended Garfield High School and he enlisted in the Army Air Force in September 1944.  He served in Italy until his Honorable Discharge in December 1946.  Myland was born in Bellingham, Washington April 21, 1926, the only son of Louis H. Streck and Merle A. Myers.  Myland preceded Betty in death on February 4, 2015.

Betty and Myland lived on Beacon Hill after spending a couple months living at Fort Lawton and on a house boat on Lake Union right after being married. They moved to West Seattle from Beacon Hill in 1955 and lived on corner of Walnut and Hinds till 2005.

They raised four sons, all of whom survive them, the oldest, Lou (Jeanne) of Greenwater, Lynn (Laurie) of Port Ludlow, Larry of Port Ludlow and Leigh of West Seattle, youngest of the boys.  In 2005 they sold the big house and moved to a condo, One West in the Alaska St. Junction.  They enjoyed living at One West; it became their small community with friends on every floor, and with its oversized deck it gave Myland a place for his gardens and a spot outdoors to visit with friends.  After Myland's passing in 2015, Betty moved to Poulsbo, Washington and resided there until her passing.

At Myland and Betty's request there will be no services.
