Two teens shot on Ambaum
Two young women died on the night Wednesday, March 28, after a shooting in the 13700 block of Ambaum Blvd SW. Officers were dispatched to the scene of the crime around 9:30 p.m. They arrived to a chaotic scene, with individuals running to their cars and speeding away. Officers tried administering CPR to the teens, and then medics transported them both to Harborview Hospital, where they died. Detectives are continuing to investigate but believe the incident to be gang related. They have learned that multiple shots were fired during a disturbance in the parking lot of an apartment complex, and the two female victims were hit by gunfire. King County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting extra patrols of this area. The City of Burien is working with community partners, the school district and law enforcement to provide additional support for area children, during upcoming afterschool and late night programs for the week. Assault on 1st Ave S
Both the victim and suspect are still unknown in a shooting that occurred at 1 a.m. on Sunday, March 18. A caller reported that the victim was shot in the face with a handgun on the shoulder of the 13700 block of 1 Ave S.
Attempted burglary, while victim gently sleeps
A man residing in the 1400 block of SW 160 St reported an attempted burglary around 1:20 p.m. on Friday, March 16. He said that while he was sleeping, an unknown suspect tried to force entry to his home, attempting to pry open a door with a tool. The victim was asleep inside.
Drugs found in drug store parking lot
Around 12:45 a.m. on Friday, March 16, one individual was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant and another was found in possession of heroin in the parking lot of a drug store located in the 14600 block of Ambaum Blvd.
Bus stop shooting
A woman shot a man at a bus stop, located at the intersection of S 120 St and 20 Ave S. The crime was reported at 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14.
Shoplifter snags brews
A man walked into the 7-Eleven located at 14605 1 Ave S, grabbed beer and walked out without paying. The crime was reported around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13.
