Ballard is bound for the state Class 3A tournament "Final Four" action in Yakima after bagging two regional wins in one day Saturday.
Next up for the No. 4-seeded Beavers is a 1 p.m. Friday semifinal date with No. 1 Mount Vernon at Parker-Faller Field.
The winner plays there again for the championship at 4 p.m. Saturday and the loser plays for third place at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Gig Harbor meets Kennewick at 10 a.m. Friday in the other semifinal.
Ballard 2, Shorewood 1
Ballard slipped by Shorewood in Saturday's regional opener at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue.
Gig Harbor 3, West Seattle 1
The Tides turned back the Wildcats in another Class 3A state regional opener Saturday at Lincoln High School in Tacoma.
Richland 5, Kennedy Catholic 3
Kennedy Catholic fell short against the Bombers in a Saturday Class 4A regional opener at West Valley of Yakima.
W.F. West 2, Chief Sealth 0
Chief Sealth was shut out by host W.F. West of Chehalis in a 2A state regional opener Saturday morning.

Peninsula 11, Ballard 10
Peninsula bumped Ballard from the state Class 3A tournament field Friday.
The action took place at the Regional Athletic Complex in Lacey.
Monroe 3, Ballard 1
Ballard also lost a close one to open state play Friday morning.
Selah 22, Evergreen 3
Evergreen fell to home team Selah in a Friday afternoon Class 2A state tournament loser-out game at Carlon Park.
Mark Morris 10, Evergreen 0
Evergreen was also downed in its Friday morning state opener.
