The upcoming sports schedule for the area is highlighted by the High School Track and Field State Championships and the beginning of the NCAA baseball playoffs for the WSU Cougars.
From Thursday, May 28, through Saturday, May 30, high school athletes will compete for state titles in Tacoma and Yakima. On the collegiate level, WSU baseball begins its playoff journey in Eugene, facing Oregon State on Friday, May 29.
Professional sports teams are also very active, particularly the Seattle Mariners, who have a significant homestand at T-Mobile Park against Arizona and the NY Mets starting May 29.
Other notable events include the Seattle Seawolves hosting the Free Jacks on Sunday and the Seattle Storm returning to Climate Pledge Arena on June 3 after a short road trip.

High School Track and Field
- Class 4A/3A/2A State Championship: May 28–30 at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.
- Class 1A/2B/1B State Championship: May 28–30 at Zaepfel Stadium in Yakima.
Professional Baseball
- Seattle Mariners vs. Arizona: May 29–31 at T-Mobile Park.
- Seattle Mariners vs. NY Mets: June 1–3 at T-Mobile Park.
- Tacoma Rainiers vs. Las Vegas: May 28–31 at Cheney Stadium.
- Tacoma Rainiers at Sacramento: June 2–3.
College Baseball
- WSU at Oregon State (NCAA Playoff): May 29 in Eugene.
- WSU vs. Oregon or Yale: May 30 (TBA).
Professional Basketball & Soccer
- Seattle Storm (Away): at Toronto (May 30) and at Dallas (June 1).
- Seattle Storm (Home): vs. Phoenix on June 3 at Climate Pledge Arena.
- Seattle Reign (Away): at Washington on May 30.
