With the help of two Kennedy Catholic graduates in its starting defensive lineup the Umiversity of Washiington stated off Washington Srate University by a 24-10 score in Sunday's football season opener for both teams.
Xe'Ree Alexander is back for his fourth season as a linebacker for the Huskies and Derek Colman-Brusa is starting on the defensive line as a true freshman.
Colman-Brusa came through with two tackles and one assist in Sunday's action at Husky Stadium while Alexander racked up two assists.
The Apple Cup battle drew 71,056 fans of mixed loyalties between the Huskies and Cougars.
