West Seattle secured their third consecutive victory on Friday, defeating the Chief Sealth Seahawks by a score of 22-6 in the annual cross neighborhood rivalry called the Huling Bowl. The game is so named for the local philanthropist and former car dealership family the Hulings.
The win continues a dominant run for West Seattle, who had outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points over their previous two victories.
With this win, West Seattle moves to a 3-2 winning record on the season. In contrast, Chief Sealth drops to 0-5, extending a losing streak that dates back to last season to six games.
Looking ahead, West Seattle will square off against Seattle Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. On the same night, Chief Sealth will take a road trip to face Rainier Beach at 7:00 p.m.
