1. Federal Way police responded to a 911 call indicating a possible domestic assault taking place at an apartment complex at 2105 Southwest 334th Place. The victim, a woman, told officers that her partner assaulted her around 3:15 p.m. His attack caused injury in the area of her face, including her ear. She also sustained a scratched forehead and lip. Officers were unable to located the suspect at the scene, but are conducting a search for him because they have probable cause to arrest.
Thief allegedly nabs rent check from office drop box
2. An unnamed woman contacted the Federal Way police via telephone to report the theft of her rent payment, which she claimed to have placed in the apartment office drop box after business hours. The lady suspected the payment had been stolen when she received a pay or vacate notice in her mailbox from the complex, located at 27914 Pacific Highway South. The office claimed they had never received the check, and told Federal Way police that there was no evidence that the drop box had been broken into. The victim provided copies of the two money orders she had purchased for the rent, one for $85 and another for $500. One of the money orders, the report states, had been altered.
Identity thief steals credit card for Vegas shopping spree
3. A woman came into the Federal Way police station to report the fraudulent use of her Wells Fargo credit card. The woman is a Federal Way resident living on the 2100 block of Southwest 318 Place. Her report stated that she was contacted by her bank questioning charges made earlier this month at various locations in Las Vegas. The woman told officers that she was not in Las Vegas at the time these charges were made. She also reported that nothing is missing, but she was in Las Vegas during April of 2006 and did use the credit card multiple times there.
Rowdy hotel guest arrested in Federal Way
4. Officers arrived at the scene of a 911 call originating from a hotel at 33230 Pacific Highway South. A representative from the hotel contacted the police to report that someone was being disorderly with hotel employees. Officers confronted a woman who matched the victim's description. A background check of the suspect, Kimberli S. Kibler, returned a felony warrant out of Olympia DOC. Federal Way officers detained Kibler while they confirmed the warrant. Once confirmed, the police took Kibler into custody and transported her to KCJ without incident. The report states that Kibler did not have any property or valuables on her.
