To the editor:
For the third year in a row, a School Bond Vote is on the ballot.
Maybe this is the year that we get it right and build some suitable buildings for our kids. We have elementary schools that are in bad shape. We have a district kitchen that is in worse shape.
This is not a bond that has waste, fraud or abuse written into it. I don't want to hear anybody else tell me that the schools are adequate, especially those that don't spend time in those schools.
I'm a Valhalla parent who spends time volunteering and see the conditions that the students live under.
We can build five new schools and repair countless others by getting a super-majority of people to the polls to say Yes To Schools!
And this can be done without approving any additional taxes - the money is there already!
