UPDATE: <b>William Quadere Muhammad</b>, a person of interest in the shooting that took place last Friday at the Federal Way Transit Center, has turned himself in to Federal Way Police for questioning.
Federal Way Police have located a person of interest in connection with last Friday's shooting at the Federal Way Transit Center.
William Quadere Muhammad turned himself in January 24 following an area-wide search.
Muhammad was sought for questioning in regards to his involvement in the shooting, which resulted in the death of a seemingly unrelated third-party victim.
On January 18, at approximately 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting at the Metro Transit Center, located at 316th and 23rd Avenue South in Federal Way.
When officers arrived on scene they discovered a victim, Darrel Lenea Miller, a 38-year-old white female from White Center, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life threatening injuries where she later died as a result of her injuries.
Based on the Federal Way Police Department's investigation there was no direct connection between the victim and the individuals who were involved in a dispute at the scene.
The Federal Way Criminal Investigation Unit has contacted and interviewed several witnesses in this incident.
Due to the cooperation of several witnesses the investigation is proceeding rapidly.
The Federal Way Police Department is committed to conducting a thorough and complete investigation to determine the facts and circumstances leading to this death.
The Federal Way Police Department reported that it is working with Sound Transit and King County Metro Police to examine the resources and services available to address its coordination efforts in response to emergencies.
