Arrest in double homicide
The man who allegedly pulled the trigger in the fatal shooting of two men in the Southcenter Mall parking lot has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
Thomas Osbourne Marshall, 53, from Port Orchard, was arrested Sept. 22 at the Port of Bremerton Marina. He is charged with the deaths of 17-year-old Noe Carrasco Salazar and 27-year-old Felix Payan Cruz.
Police believe the motive for the shootings involved drugs.
Marshall is being held on $2 million bail and will be arraigned Oct. 6 at the Regional Justice Center in Kent.
Serious injury accident
Three people were seriously injured in a traffic accident on East Marginal Way S around 2 a.m. Sept. 30.
While headed northbound in the 8700 block of East Marginal Way, a pickup truck carrying two men crossed the center line and hit a minivan driven by a woman.
The woman was quickly extracted with the jaws-of-life from the minivan.
All three were seriously injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The collision is under investigation by the Tukwila Police Department. Officers indicated that alcohol may been involved.
