A 20-year-old pregnant woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-car collision at S.W. 116th St. and 16th Ave. S.W. on Oct. 5 around 8:20 a.m.
According to King County Sheriff's deputies and witnesses, a Ford Explorer traveling east on 116th St. ran a red light.
A car driven by a 17-year-old female who attends Evergreen High School was heading south on 16th Ave. when she t-boned the side of the Explorer, according to police.
The 20-year-old passenger, who is nine months pregnant, was ejected from the car.
When paramedics arrived, they were able to get fetal sounds from the unborn baby.
The woman's injuries were determined to be life-threatening. She was transported to Harborview Medical Center where she is was still in critical condition Oct. 7. The unborn baby was reported to be in good condition.
The 17 year old suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Ford Explorer had injuries to his shoulder, and the other passenger suffered minor injuries.
Two fire engines from North Highline Fire Department, an aid car from Burien, and a King County Medic One ambulance responded to the call.
