81, passed away peacefully February 3, 2006. Born December 14, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois, the only child of Edwin and Paula Gilmore. She was a long time resident of West Seattle where she raised her three children. She was very involved in PTA and eventually became PTA president at Chief Sealth High School in the 70's. She continued her connection with past PTA presidents and members when they would meet annually for a luncheon. In 1995, she retired from a job she loved in the City of Seattle's Traffic Engineering Department. She was a strong believer and loved the Lord. She would share her faith with everyone. She was a member of Hillcrest Presbyterian Church and attended Bible Study Fellowship. Travel was another one of her passions and she traveled the world extensively.

Gloria was a woman of integrity and honesty and was never afraid to share her opinion or guidance with anyone who crossed her path. She fostered and nurtured many people's lives. More than anything else she loved her family that was woven with an unbreakable bond of unselfish and inspirational love. Her immediate family consists of children Paul Thompson (Kim), Dawn Hodo (Eric), and Bryce Thompson (Eva); and grandchildren Keith and Geoff Hodo, Ron, Mary, Emily and Gloria Thompson. These grandchildren were always a source of great joy and accomplishment. Gloria leaves her cherished cousins and many Chicago childhood friends.
