Lloyd B. Hinrichs

Lloyd B. Hinichs moved from West Seattle in 1993 to Silverdale, Washington. He died of heart failure on March 22, 2006 in Silverdale. He was born in Crow Lake (Wessington Springs) South Dakota April 10, 1927 to George and Agatha (Daniels) Hinrichs.

Lloyd joined the army in 1946 and served as Military Police stationed in Japan during WWII. In Seattle he was a machinist and worked for Huntley Machine and Tool until he retired in 1991.

Lloyd was an active member of his community. He was Past President of the West Seattle Eagles #2643, Past President of North Kitsap Eagles #3586, Past Commander West Seattle American Legion #160, Past Chef de Gare 40/8, Voiture 84, and member of V.F.W. #239. He volunteered for many years at the V.A. hospital repairing wheel chairs and gift shop. At Retsil veterans home he called bingo, gift shop and helped (his wife) with comfort carts.

One of Lloyd's favorite activities was camping. He was a member of Birds on Wheels R.V. Club and Viking Travelers R.V. Club. He loved Playing Cribbage and camping with family on Lopez. Lloyd was an active bowler and dart player in West Seattle for Post 160 and F.O.E. #2643 for many years.

He is survived by his wife Doreen (Sneesby) Hinrichs of Silverdale. Son Jeff Hinrichs- Seattle, daughters Lynn (John) Rohner- Federal Way, Rebecca Price- Burien. Loving Step- daughters Lorrie ( Stephen) Hunt- Seattle and Linda Maculanlan- Bremerton. Brothers James (Belle) and Merle (Ada) Hinrichs- Wessington Springs, South Dakota. Nine grandchildren; Curtis (Tina) Hunt, Michelle (Alan) Crowin, Jon, Andrew, Eric and Leah Maculanlan, Sally Hinirchs, Steven and Christopher Price, and eight Grandchildren; Sean, J'amy, Maxwell, Kendra, and Kaylee Hunt, Hunter Mackenzie, Austin Corwin and Lloyds "Fat Cat" Lucky. Proceeded in death by son- David Hinrichs (1998) brothers, Everett, Matthew, Vincent Hinrichs-Wessington Springs S.D. and sister Lucille Stulken-Wessington Springs.
