Mary Gillmore, 78, died April 7, 2006 at Franciscan Hospice House in Tacoma. She was born April 4, 1928 in Poplar, Mont.

Mary has been a resident of Federal Way since 1966. An avid Seahawks Fan, she loved to watch TV, especially "CNN", play chess, and work crossword puzzles. She was a great cook and a fantastic mother and grandmother.

Her sons, Thomas J. Gillmore III of Arlington, James M. Gillmore and Christopher Gillmore; daughter, Kimberly A. Gillmore, all of Federal Way; sister, Beverly Tietjen of Great Falls, Mont; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive her. Her husband, Thomas Jefferson Gillmore, Jr. preceded her in death in 1979.

Funeral Services were held on April 12, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Yahn and Son Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Please sign the online guest book at www.yahnandson.com.
