1. A woman, who lives in an apartment complex at 29645 18th Avenue South, contacted Federal Way police to report her boyfriend missing. On then night of April 18, the man left the couple's apartment around 9 p.m. en route to his brother's house. He drove away in his silver Buick. Around midnight, the boyfriend called home to say he would return in an hour. The girlfriend's report states that she heard voices in the background on the other end of the phone, and she believed he was at a bar. The boyfriend never returned home. She contacted the jails and hospitals without any success in locating him. Her report also states that the couple was not having relationship trouble.
Officers intervene in family dispute over a doll
2. Federal Way police arrived at the scene of a domestic dispute in progress on the 35200 block of 6th Avenue South. Officers reported confronting a man and a woman who were arguing over a doll the woman thought the man had stolen. Neither party reported any physical injuries. Dispatch advised the officers of an unserved protection order with the woman as the respondent. The officers served the protection order and the woman left the residence. The officers then issued a domestic violence pamphlet to the man.

3. Federal Way traffic officers arrived at the scene of an auto accident near 34900 Enchanted Parkway South. Preliminary information suggested the accident might have involved a driver under the influence. Officers interviewed both parties, and noticed that one of them-the driver of a silver 2001 Chevrolet-was slurring his words. The police did not detect alcohol on his breath, but upon questioning, the man admitted that he was taking prescription medication. Offices conducted FSTs on the driver and arrested him for DUI and reckless endangerment.

4. Around 2 a.m. on April 21, Federal Way officers pulled over a white 2000 Jaguar near 32000 Pacific Highway South. The police conducted a sobriety test on the suspect, and documented that during the one-leg stand, the suspect stumbled on the first and subsequent steps. Although the man spoke accented English, the report states, officers determined that he was able to understand the instructions. The driver was arrested and charged with DUI and illegal use of a dealer plate on his vehicle.
Cable thief goes after copper
5. Representatives of Qwest communications company contacted Federal Way police to report damage done some cable line near 28600 Pacific Highway South. Qwest was unsure whether the suspect cut the cable to steal the service or the copper wiring inside. Upon investigating the scene, officers determined that the suspect used a bolt cutter/wire cutter to cut the cable. No pipe was removed. The damage totaled more that $1,000.
