I moved to Des Moines from Seattle about 10 years ago. I couldn’t wait to move to this waterfront city, where crime was low, visitors and residents all felt extremely safe and well protected.

Unfortunately, much of the feeling and perception of a safe community was destroyed by Tim Eyman and his ridiculous initiatives. People in Des Moines now have an opportunity to right the wrong and help bring back the safe and secure City we once knew and again allow for our hard working police officers to provide the quick and professional police response we’ve become accustom to over the years.

We have a council, city administration, police chief and police department dedicated to serving this community and its citizens. Please educate yourself about Proposition 1, commonly known as the Levy Lid Lift, and vote yes to help bring our community back to what it used to be. The cost of this Proposition is very low when you consider the return we as citizens will get.
