Federal Way officers met a victim of domestic violence at the Federal Way Winco store who stated that she was attacked by her partner during an incident at her apartment at 34009 1st Circle South. After officers received her statement around midnight, they tracked down her abuser. Federal Way police took custody of the man on the charge of assault in the fourth degree/domestic violence.
Another domestic dispute involves FWPD
Federal Way officers contacted the occupants of an apartment in the H unit of a complex on 333 south 320th regarding a reported domestic dispute that was in progress in the parking lot. One of the members of the party stated that her boyfriend had lost his job and she told him to leave. The dispute, the report states, was over money and children. The couple has a child in common. The boyfriend fled the scene prior to officers' arrival. A records check of his name revealed that he had two unconfirmed warrants. The victim stated that she was not afraid of her boyfriend and that she had not been assaulted. She stated that she did not know how the officers could get in contact with the boyfriend, and that she did not expect him to come back after their argument.
ID theft strikes Federal Way man
The resident of a home on the 33300 block of 8th Avenue South contacted Federal Way police to report a possible case of fraud resulting from a stolen credit card number. The man told police that someone was fraudulently using his America's Credit Union debit/credit card. The last transaction took place on October 1. The man reported that nothing was physically missing, but the information was used at both actual stores and over the internet. The man was unsure of the exact locations of the stores where the suspect(s) used his information, but provided copies of his statement showing the amount and business name. The man also stated that his bank will not hold him accountable for the purchases.
