I remember Officer Cox, stopping me in White Center one day. I was using a friend's car coming home from church. I am a pastor he was so nice to tell me the lights were out in the back of the car. I didn't know, he ran my license plate and driver's license when he approached the car, I asked him if I can get out and look, and he said yes.
I didn't receive a ticket - he told me I needed to get it fixed so I would not be stopped for lights blown out and receive a ticket. He didn't write me a ticket, and he had no idea I was already struggling financially, and he didn't know I was a pastor.
Officer Cox was very nice to me and humble, I will never forget that because there are police officer that are not friendly, they don't have customer service (skills).
He will be missed, and I pray for his family. I also live in West Seattle off of Delridge and I drive periodically in White Center, so I realize the challenge and I constantly pray for this area because of what goes on in the area. I am hoping that more police officers and community get even more involved.
