On October 29, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Federal Way police officers were dispatched to a stabbing in the 2500 block of South 317th Street at the Chelsea Court Condominiums in Federal Way.
When officers arrived on scene they found two female victims suffering from stab wounds and one male suspect lying on the back porch semi-conscious with a ligature around his neck.
Officers released the ligature and the male revived.
Initial investigation indicates that the male suspect physically attacked his wife or girlfriend inside the condo. (The exact relationship is still being determined.)
The woman whose residence this is heard the commotion, entered the room of the assault and tried to intervene to help the first woman. The suspect stabbed that woman and continued assaulting his girlfriend.
The stabbing victim was able to flee to a neighbor's condo to call 9-1-1.
It appears that when the suspect became aware that the police were en-route, he attached himself to the ligature on the back porch.
The suspect is a Samoan male in his thirties. The first victim is a Samoan female in her twenties.
Before the assault on her was over, she suffered a stab wound to the lower back.
The woman who intervened to help her friend was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries. The other female victim and male suspect were transported to local area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
The Federal Way Criminal Investigation Section responded and took over the investigation.
Motive for these assaults is still under investigation.
The suspect could face two charges of assault with a deadly weapon, one of those being a crime of domestic violence.
There is no further information pertaining to this incident at this time.
