Bartell Drugs will open its entirely new location in downtown Burien on Monday, Jan. 28.
Located in the Redwood Plaza complex at 14901 Fourth Ave. S.W., the new store is across the parking lot from Bartell's current "temporary" location.
Construction of Burien Town Square prompted the relocation of Bartell Drugs and the move to the temporary site in the summer of 2007.
"We're excited to finally settle into our entirely new location, and we appreciate the patience and loyalty of our customers," said Bartell Drug's Chairman and CEO George D. Bartell.
"With this all-new store, we will be offering Burien residents a broader selection of merchandise and new features,"
Bartell said that while the company has had several store locations in Burien over the past 50 years, this is the first location constructed specifically for Bartell's.
The 17,500 square-foot store features the company's signature PixPlus photo and sound department, a drive-thru pharmacy, convenient parking and the exceptional customer service for which Bartell is known.
In addition, the building includes additional store-front retail space for small shops along its south and east sides.
Seattle-based Bartell Drugs owns and operates stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties. Family-owned for 118 years, it is the nation's oldest drugstore chain. For more information on Bartell Drugs visit www.bartelldrugs.com.
