There is a costly, growing, unsightly and undesirable problem in our country that I feel is neither being taking very seriously nor proper steps being taken to resolve.
The problem is GRAFFITI. You see it on buildings, fences in our Public Parks, almost anywhere. It seems the younger generation is trying to express themselves for what ever reason. Another outlet must be found to distract our youth into a more desirable attraction.
My recent visit and tour around the continent of Australia visiting 15 cities was an eye-opener for me as I found no litter on the streets or parks. Likewise, no Graffiti except one wall that looked like an artist had created it.
Now if Australia can control Graffiti and litter in their country, what does it take for the United States to learn and follow their lead?
Is enforcement or better training from our schools or from our homes the answer? I feel a combination of all would be a starting point and a thing called cooperation needs to be utilized?
