The Highline Historical Society is inviting residents to visit local neighborhoods on June 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a day of gardening inspiration.
Gardens in Burien, SeaTac and Normandy Park gardens are featured on the tour. Participants will be treated to music, master gardeners, garden art, an artist-in-action and sponsor drawings for gardening gifts.
One of the self-guided tour stops is the Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden that includes the elegant Seike Japanese garden.
A new feature this year is a presentation by the Seattle Post Intelligencer's Marianne Binetti on creating your own show garden.
