For 13 years, a woman living above Beach Drive has treated the birds and squirrels in the nearby greenbelt with birdseed and peanuts. A new neighbor just moved in, and several times within the first week he has come to the woman's apartment in a rage, yelling and telling her to stop the feeding. Another neighbor confirms that the newcomer is out of control, pounding on doors and one time yelling, "I'm going to shoot those birds and take care of you too." The victim was told to talk to the manger and seek assistance from the courts if necessary.
Here's the story of two siblings: She didn't like him drinking. He didn't like her telling people where he is moving. She took his beer. It broke. He pushed her to the ground and strangled her. Mom stepped in and whacked him with a metal bar. He (and his ten aliases) stepped into the King County Jail for investigation of domestic violence aggravated assault.
In case you were wondering, summer is definitely here: We know, because the meat thieves are out in force. This week, one man tried to steal nearly $200 of chops from the Westwood Village QFC.
A bicyclist got angry with a driver who nearly hit him (and another cyclist) on Avalon. He rode up to the car and began to have words with the driver, when the driver leaned back in his seat, uncrossed his arms and said, "Well, look at what I have here...." It was a chrome-colored revolver. Officers later found the suspect in the parking lot at the West Seattle Golf Course. The gun was in the car, along with the man's 6-year-old daughter. He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of harassment and weapon possession. A records check showed that he was a convicted felon who is not supposed to have firearms.
Ten minutes after they responded to a call of a "found child" at 15th and Henderson (he'd been walking in the middle of the street with no shirt on), officers were approached by the child's mother, who lived a couple of blocks away. She was highly intoxicated and said that the two-year-old must have walked out the door while she was in the back yard talking with friends. Not only had the child disappeared before, but officers also discovered that the woman's boyfriend, who was recently convicted of domestic violence assault, was staying in the apartment. He was intoxicated as well, and neither had been aware the child was missing. The boyfriend was taken into custody for the violation.
