A man called 911 because he wanted to turn himself in on some outstanding warrants (one, a no-bail escape warrant and a second $10,000 warrant for DUI). But while he waited for officers to arrive, the intoxicated suspect entered a nearby store and tried to steal beer. When confronted, he dropped the beer but stole an ice cream bar on his way out the door.
Late Monday, a citizen called 911 to report suspicious activity in a car near 50th and Hinds. The vehicle turned out to be stolen, and officers arrested the four occupants for investigation of vehicle theft. The 18-year-old driver had three Youth Service Center warrants for 1st-degree theft, possession of stolen property, and criminal trespass. He was booked into King County Jail. A female passenger had a warrant for minor consumption of alcohol ($2,500) and she and another female passenger were booked into King County Jail as well. The fourth passenger was an intoxicated 16-year-old from SeaTac. He was released to his parents and will face minor consumption of alcohol charges.
At 26th and Brandon the victim said "Good morning" to a man who was walking by. A few moments later, the same man, accompanied by two friends, pulled alongside the victim in a dark car, began punching him and demanded, "Give us everything you've got." They got away with his wallet, wristwatch and backpack.
Angry when his girlfriend wouldn?t give him the $470 she earned as a dancer, a man threw her to the floor, strangled her, slapped her repeatedly and then stomped on her neck with his foot. The entire incident took place in front of the couple?s four-year-old daughter. He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of domestic violence assault.
In the 3600 block of Andover, a man found his car which had been stolen earlier in the day. The suspects were inside the vehicle, and officers were able to catch one of them, a 32-year-old Federal Way man who was wanted on a Department of Corrections felony warrant. He was booked into King County Jail for the warrant and for investigation of the car theft. His female accomplice, a white teenager with long blonde hair, escaped.
At a South Park construction site, unknown persons kicked in the doors of three nearly-completed town homes and spray painted/graffiti-tagged the interior walls.
A woman waiting for the stop light at California and Edmunds got a surprise early Thursday when a naked man jogged past her car, heading eastbound.
