Ballard Care and Rehabilitation, a 142-bed licensed nursing center, will open its new post-surgery Rehab Recover Suites at an open house Jan. 28.
The community is invited to the event from 3 to 6 p.m. at 820 N.W. 95th St.
The open house is to showcase its newest addition of care services, which are specifically designed for individuals preparing to return to their daily routines post-surgery, usually within 20 to 30 days after leaving the hospital.
Spokesperson for the center Angie Davis, said it's an "intensive recovery program provided by an interdisciplinary team of professionals in a therapeutic setting."
“This program enhances our already effective rehabilitation program which is designed to restore mobility to patients as quickly as possible, returning them to a productive lifestyle," said Davis.
Rehabilitation services include: on-site physical; occupational and speech therapy; 24-hour nursing coverage; fully refurbished rooms that include bedside televisions and Internet access; consulting physicians and alternative menu choices.
Therapists, nurses and other caregivers will be available at the open house to answer questions. Tours will be provided and food and door prizes are available to those attending.
Reserve space before Jan. 27 by calling 782-0100.
